Laser treatments for hair removal were initially popular among women who wished to get rid of unwanted hair. With time, laser hair removal treatments have become popular amongst men as well.

Different ways of removing hair
There are a number of ways to remove unwanted hair like shaving, waxing, trimming, electrolysis, plucking and laser treatment. Of all the procedures, laser hair removal is the most effective and hassle-free. Laser hair removal is a one time investment for the permanent removal of hair.

Laser hair treatments have to be strictly performed under the supervision of a certified dermatologist in a well-equipped clinic to avoid any complications.

Right candidate for laser surgery
Laser hair removal treatments are performed on all parts of the body where there is excessive hair growth. Laser hair removal in some parts might be a bit uncomfortable for some men. For this reason, the doctor must be sure that the patient is a right candidate for the surgery. Men with fair skin tones and dark body hair are considered ideal candidates for laser hair removal because of the effect of laser on the skin pigments. However, men of all skin tones may be considered for treatment.

Someone who is in two minds about the surgery should always consult a laser surgeon or a dermatologist to see whether they are a proper candidate for laser surgery. A dermatologist can give useful advice.
