The Science

Advanced Intense Pulsed Light technology is one of the few systems that is clinically proven and approved by the FDA for Permanent hair reduction of facial and body hair. This sophisticated procedure targets the melanin found naturally in the hair shaft and hair follicle. Each pulse of light causes the temperature within the hair shaft and hair follicle to rise. When the temperature reaches around 65-70C, the protein of the hair cells and surrounding follicle denatures, resulting in the destruction of the germinative cells responsible for hair growth and each active hair follicle dies, its ability to re-grow destroyed.

The system is up to 10 times faster than other hair removal lasers. Un-like most other lasers our laser is safe on all skin colours with no risk of bleaching or scarring. The treatment removes all hair being targeted quickly leaving the skin permanently silky smooth!

The Treatment

A cold gel is applied to the area to be treated. After which the sapphire crystal waveguide is gently applied to the skin and pulses of light are applied.

You should feel a light tingling sensation but not much more than a sharp snap of a rubber band. The treatment is also extremely fast and an area of facial hair may take less than 60 seconds to treat, whilst a man’s back or woman’s legs may take just 60 minutes.

The hairs will fall out naturally after treatment over the coming 1 – 3 weeks. The results are accumulative and much more visible after a couple of treatments. It is recommended that you cut, shave or use depilatory cream to remove the hairs whilst having the treatment, rather than waxing, plucking or threading.
