Active acne can have a significant impact on anybody’s life: when you have numerous red and inflamed spots on your face, chest, shoulders or back it can change the way you feel about yourself and the way you interact with others.

It is not uncommon for people with acne to feel depressed about their condition and for this to cause them to develop negative feelings and thoughts about the way they look and by extension, what they can achieve.

Many people would prefer to hide away from other people rather than seek them out, which can cause difficulties in terms of relationships, both professional and personal. It stands to reason then, that this condition can create real obstacles that go far beyond those directly caused by the spots themselves.

This makes it even more important to deal with the spots promptly, before they begin to affect confidence and emotions. With the range of acne treatments available nowadays, it is important to be persistent and keep on trying until you find the treatment that works for you.

Acne can be caused by a variety of factors and people respond to treatments differently, so if at first it doesn’t work, go back to your doctor and try another.
