Hair removal using laser treatment

Posted on 01 Jun, 2011

For centuries now, the idea of an all-in-one treatment for many problems has been met with scepticism. But laser treatment is perhaps one of the closest treatments to an all-in-one cure. It is highly effective and works for almost everybody. And the advantage of laser treatment is that it works on a variety of problems and diseases. Be it removal of a tattoo, treatment of acne, skin discolouration or pigmentation, hair removal, hair growth or skin rejuvenation, laser treatments cure them all. Hair removal can be a very painful technique if you use wax. Moreover, waxing is a temporary solution for hair removal. Laser treatment is, however, an effective solution. Depending upon your type of skin, you may have to visit the clinic between six and eight sessions. Different types of skin require different degrees of treatment. However, the treatment is painless, fast and effective.

Although laser treatment is a safe method, some precautions must be taken

You should contact only certified practitioners and check their qualifications as well as their level of experience.

How does it work?

A device that emits light of enhanced electromagnetic radiation is called a laser. This can be beamed on to the area which requires treatment and the light then degrades the dead cells in that area. It effectively attacks and removes the dead cells and in the process also boosts the production of collagen and elastin. These tissues are responsible for skin growth and creating structure. Also, the laser is concentrated light and only works on the area it is directed at. It does not affect the skin around the area of treatment in any way whatsoever.
