How AIPL can help you cope with rosacea

Rosacea can start innocently enough with a propensity to blush easily, but it can develop into a more severe condition that is much more difficult to manage and to live with.

Monitoring and controlling personal triggers can help reduce the frequency and severity of episodes, although it rarely prevents another flare-up. AIPL can help to provide further relief from the condition and make it easier to live with.

The redness associated with rosacea is caused by the tiny blood vessels under the skin become dilated. As they dilate, they hold more blood and are more visible on the surface of the skin. AIPL targets these blood vessels and renders them useless.

When the pulsed light is applied to the skin, the energy is absorbed by the blood within the vessels. The energy causes the blood to heat up, and once it reaches somewhere between 60 and 70°C, the blood vessel wall collapses and disintegrates.

This rosacea treatment can produce impressive results, greatly reducing the flushed appearance of the face. It is quick, too, with a full facial treatment requiring only about twenty minutes to complete. Pain is minimal, and the feeling has been likened to the snapping of an elastic band against the skin.
