Here’s our guide to spider veins, also known as telangiectasia, and how we can help boost your confidence with our treatment options.
What causes spider veins?
Spider veins are nothing to be ashamed of, but if they’re getting your confidence and causing you to have low self esteem then there is no harm in having them professionally removed. There are a few causes of spider veins that you should be aware of. The most common are as follows:
● Sitting down (or standing) for long periods
● Hormonal changes such as pregnancy
● Age
● Injury and trauma
Many of these causes cannot be helped, but with our services, you can choose to remove spider veins from your skin and gain back your confidence.
Our treatment options
At The Laser Treatment Clinic, our experienced team of professionals can offer you a wide range of non-invasive treatments when it comes to removing your spider veins. We know that skin insecurities can stop you from being your most confident self, which is why our treatments are made to give you effective and confidence boosting results. Here are a few of our popular treatments for spider vein removal, explained.
Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy
IPL therapy involves using intense light to heat up and damage the walls of the target blood vessels. The aim is to collapse the vessels so that the spider veins disappear from the skin. IPL takes around 2-6 weeks to see visible results. Your veins may initially appear darker after the initial few sessions, but this is nothing to worry about, and they will eventually disappear.
Vascular laser treatment
We have a variety of treatment options to suit your needs. One of our options involves a laser heating up the blood vessels using a specific laser light. This works to then collapse the blood vessel and results in the spider veins disappearing at the end of the treatment process (at most 3 months).
