Megan Fox appears to be undergoing laser treatment to remove the rather noticeable tattoo of Marilyn Monroe’s face that she currently has on the forearm.
She claimed to have chosen the tattoo “as a warning”:
“It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down.”
While she hasn’t spoken publicly about her decision to have the tattoo removed, the face has been getting visibly lighter over the last few months.
This is a clear example of the problem posed by tattoos, particularly large designs that are difficult to conceal. While the tattoo was obviously important to the actress at one stage in her life, it now apparently no longer has the same importance and has maybe even become a burden.
Laser tattoo removal treatment will cause the tattoo to continue to fade over time in a safe way. When the laser energy is applied to the tattoo, it causes the ink in the skin to break up into much smaller particles. The body is then able to remove these tiny pigments, and the tattoo fades.
