Skin disorders like acne can be embarrassing and irritating. Acne is also known as blackheads and pimples. It is one of the most common problems among the teenagers. If acne is left untreated, it can lead to the formation of scars, which can be permanent.

In some cases, this cosmetic disfigurement remains throughout the life. The presence of those unpleasant acnes during the teenage can lead to social and emotional trauma, which can hamper self-confidence.

What causes acne?

Our back and face contains many hair follicles that are associated with the sebaceous glands. These sebaceous glands produce an oily fluid known as sebum. This fluid is secreted by the skin though a passage known as the infundibulum.

Under normal conditions, the sebum is secreted by the skin through the open pores of the skin. However, in some cases, a blockage is formed in the infundibulum from sebum, cells, bacteria and other debris. As the sebaceous glands continue to produce sebum, it stretches the infundibulum until some lower portions of the follicle ruptures.

Acne lesions that occur due to rupturing of the sebaceous follicle and infection from acne bacteria are usually found on the skin. This leads to inflammation and pus (a whitehead).

Acne treatment

While many creams, lotions and gels are available over the counter, they are not as effective in treating acne as they claim. On the other hand, laser acne treatment proves to be quite effective in treating acne problems. The procedure is quick, painless and offers a permanent solution. If you want to eliminate acne and have a flawless skin, laser acne treatment is the best procedure.
