Solving skin problems with laser treatment (pt.2)

We all have our imperfections, and these are part of what makes us unique. However, for some people with extreme skin problems such as acne or uneven pigmentation, these imperfections can become a nightmare.

In part 1 of this guide, we looked at skin problems such as acne, scarring and uneven pigmentation, and how each can be effectively treated using laser technology. Let’s now take a look at how laser treatment can eradicate stretch marks and damage to the skin caused by over-exposure to the sun.

Stretch marks. Stretch marks are often caused by rapid weight gain, which is why so many pregnant women have them. Creams and lotions don’t work on stretch marks because they form in the middle layer of skin (the dermis), but laser treatment combined with microdermabrasion can get rid of them completely.

Sun damage. Over-exposure to the sun’s UV rays can be very damaging for the skin, as well as increasing your chances of developing skin cancer. Damage including wrinkles, fine lines and uneven pigmentation can all be treated using laser technology, which should make your skin look much younger and fresher. Just remember to put the sun cream on next time!
