Survey finds that more men than ever prefer a hair-free look

According to a study carried out by Philips India and published in Zee News, a larger number of men than ever before are starting to favour a smooth, hair-free look. This is especially the case when it comes to their chests.

The study found that 65 per cent of men are perfectly happy to remove body hair from areas other than their face. It seems that the hairy chests that were popular in previous decades, such as the 1980s in particular, are no longer in fashion.

What’s more, after seeing some of the hairless six-packs and washboard stomachs of the athletes, divers and swimmers competing in the London 2012 Olympics, many men are starting to favour a smoother look.

Women’s opinions about body hair were also included in the study, in which a massive 80 per cent of females admitted that they found too much body hair on men to be unattractive. Overall, the women that were included in the survey preferred their male partners to be “more hygienic and well-groomed in every aspect”.

Waxing and shaving can be unnecessarily painful and time-consuming, so the best way for many men to get the smooth, hairless look they want is to undergo laser hair removal treatment.
