The problem with thread veins

Thread veins are tiny dilated veins just below the surface of the skin that show through as red, blue or purple lines. They are similar to varicose veins, although do not cause usually cause the same physical discomfort.

The problems that thread veins pose are essentially cosmetic ones. They can appear anywhere on the body, although the face and legs are particularly prone to developing them. They can be linked to certain skin conditions such as rosacea, and can cause significant embarrassment.

Thread veins on the legs can also be unsightly, making it difficult for someone who suffers from them to have the confidence to wear certain clothes, especially in the summer. In today’s society, where smooth and flawless skin is the ideal, thread veins can be a real pain.

Luckily, thread vein removal is a fairly straight forward procedure, and is non-invasive. They do not require the same level of intervention as varicose veins, and can be denatured and dissolved using Intense Pulsed Light therapy. This procedure permanently destroys the offending vessels and causes them to fade from view.
