Laser acne treatments have become popular with people across the world. Since their introduction, they have slowly replaced the conventional methods for acne removal. People are also reluctant to consume pills on a regular basis due to their side effects in the long run.

Laser acne removal procedure
The procedure for laser acne removal is simple. The doctor holds a device above the affected area. The laser beams emitted from the device hit the acne area, vaporising only the affected cells and creating room for new skin cell growth. This procedure is known as laser resurfacing. The laser treatment helps in the production of new collagen. Collagen is a protein tissue responsible for maintaining the quality of the skin and its elasticity.

Diode laser therapy
– Diode laser therapy places an emphasis on the sebaceous glands of the skin. The pulses of laser light attack the sebaceous glands which contain excess oil in the middle layer of the skin without damaging the outer layer of the skin.

Heat energy – This treatment is proved to be effective in destroying P acne, the bacteria responsible for skin redness and inflammation. Heat energy therapy is also effective at shrinking sebaceous glands. Excess oil in the skin is one of the leading causes of acne. Heat energy treatments work well for mild to moderate acne.

Blue light therapy
– Blue light therapy is a low intensity treatment which is efficient in killing P acne. Blue light therapy may require numerous sessions as the P acne are known to multiply rapidly.
